Meet our Pastors

Lead Pastor – Dave Rock  Dave Rock and his wife Julie, joined Church by the Bay in October 2009.

We never get tired of seeing people being impacted by the person of Jesus, and seeing their lives changed and restored.

We believe the Gospel of Jesus is the solution to the challenges we face, individually in our families and as a nation.

Jesus came to restore people and restore them to God’s family. As a local church we want to be a family of disciples that overflows the gospel of Jesus into all that we are and do.

We appreciate the unity we enjoy with the various churches on the Bellarine and want every person to find their right church family. We’d love to help you find yours, whether that’s with us or with one of the other churches on the Bellarine, so that together we can positively impact the community we are a part of.

Administration Pastor – Craig Wood-Burgess

Craig and his wife, Bronwyn, and their three adult children all enjoy the many ministry opportunities at Church By the Bay.

We have been serving here since 2005, and my role has shifted from being the person responsible for administration to a much more people and pastoral centred role. I am grateful for this new place of caring and helping people to reach their true potential as sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, in the family of God here in this place.

Youth Pastor – Xander Napoli

Xander and Nanette oversee youth discipleship at Church by the Bay, and have been serving here since mid 2015.

Born and bred on the Bellarine, Xander has always held roots here, yet he spent the majority of his young adult life living and working around the state. In contrast, Nanette comes from the other side of the world, from the US to Romania, finally relocating with family in Melbourne. We met serving young people together at Red Frogs and have continued to serve young people ever since. Despite our original plans not including the Bellarine, God gave us a clear vision to serve Him here and we’ve never looked back. This is our home, our mission field and our family, and there will always be a place at our table for anyone on the Bellarine, young or old.
