As Christians, we are blessed people. We have the privilege of knowing our Lord and Saviour God because someone has shared the good news of the gospel with us. We know God created the world and places an emphasis on prayer and keeping unity alive amongst the churches, because we know the truth of God’s word – the bible. We know about the love and sacrifice that Jesus made for us when He gave His life on the cross, because someone shared this with us. We know that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that we have eternal significance in His kingdom, because someone told us about the bible and shared Psalm 139 with us.
Whether it is proclaiming this message from the front of our church building, taking this good news to different parts of Australia or sharing Jesus’ love with people overseas, the message is the same: All good gifts come from our God in heaven (James 1:17). We hold these gifts lightly on this earth and give them back to God with a cheerful heart, knowing they are His and that He has blessed us with all we have. We steward these gifts and as His disciples, try to give and use them wisely.
To be consecrated means to be set apart for a holy purpose. We may struggle with this title, but we are consecrated people who carry THE most significant message for our world – God is sovereign.
As consecrated stewards of all that God has given us, we give our money to help spread God’s truth.
There are three ways to give at Church by the Bay:
1. Electronically via our bank account:
Church By the Bay
BSB: 633 000
Account number: 110 333 457
Reference: Tithes
2. With a card via the Squarepoint on a Sunday morning at the front table in the foyer
3. With a cash offering in our giving box at this same table.
As an act of discipleship, many of us give a tithe each week, wanting to be faithful stewards of the monetary gifts God has given us. As a church, the first 10% of what we receive in tithes, we give to our mission partners, who are spreading the good news of the gospel.
Our mission partners:
David Barnett (Indigenous bible translation)
Bolton family (ZulaRoo)
Bushikori Christian Centre, Uganda, Africa (including child sponsorship)
Duc, Vietnam (see Dave Rock or Pete Chandra for more details)

Open Doors
Short family (SIM – Serving in Mission)
There is also an opportunity to contribute with an offering to our ‘Kingdom Builders‘ – this gift goes directly towards our mission partners and their work advancing the Kingdom. To do this we give electronically via this account:
